Little Robin ...

Good Afternoon!
It's been a while since I've posted here but today I have some photographs of a Robin that has been visiting my garden this week. I haven't had much time to use my camera recently but I managed to get these snaps during a rare spare 10 minutes! I admit that they're not the best quality as he didn't want to stand still for very long but nevertheless I thought I'd share them with you anyway.
Robins are one of my favourite birds and if you have heard them sing then you'll know how nice it is to listen to them.

Thanks for looking, hopefully I will have more to share with you soon!

Autumn has Arrived ....

Good Morning!
Autumn has certainly arrived this week in my garden. We have been greeted with misty mornings each day which has given the garden a touch of sparkle. Today I wanted to share with you some photo's of the cobwebs that have been highlighted by the weather every morning.
Although Spiders aren't high on my favourite's list (I can cope with the smaller ones but the big beasties are still a stuggle!) I can't deny that the webs they make are beautiful.

This particular web had covered the whole gap between the fence and the Greenhouse, not something you'd want to walk into!

All of the gaps in the Leylandii Hedge have been covered with webs ...

I also had an audience whilst I was taking these photographs ...

Thanks for looking!

Garden Birds ...

Good Morning!
Earlier this morning I could hear a rather loud chirping noise so I went for a look out the window to see what was causing it. To my surprise I saw that the Wren I haven't seen for a while was back and I managed to get a few pictures.
The first one was mid - song ...

I also spotted some other birds in a neighbouring tree. Unfortunately the pictures aren't as clear as I'd like them to be due to the fact the tree is 2 gardens away and my camera found it just that little bit too much out of reach. Nevertheless I thought I'd share the snaps.
The first one is a Greenfinch that I didn't even spot until after I'd taken the photo.

The last two are of some Goldfinches which have been enjoying flying across our garden over the past few days.

Thanks for taking a look!

Tophill Low Nature Reserve in June ...

Good Morning!
Today I thought I would share with you some photo's from Tophill Low Nature Reserve that I took back in June. These were my first attempts at taking photo's of Wildlife.

It's not just Wildlife that I like taking photographs of either, as a Gardener I'm always tempted to take photo's of Plants too.

I hope you enjoyed looking.

Tophill Low Nature Reserve ...

Good Morning!
If you have me on facebook then you have probably already seen these photo's, but if not here they are again! These were taken last weekend at Tophill Low Nature Reserve.
As you will see the photo quality is better on some than others, but I thought you would like to see them anyway.

First up is a Kingfisher, they're usually really quick and tricky to photograph but this little one decided to stick around posing for 45 minutes! The first one is my favourite picture.

I also managed to get a photo of this Water Hen balancing on one leg, although it isn't as clear as I would've liked.

Lastly are these two butterflies.
'Speckled Wood'

'Small Copper'

Thanks for taking the time to look.

Little Ladybird ....

Good Morning!
Welcome to my new blog!
This is the place where I will be sharing photographs that I have taken when I've been out and about, or simply just in the garden. I decided to start this blog so that my favourite snaps are all in the same place.
Why don't I start with what I took yesterday of the first Ladybird I saw this Summer ...
well if you can still call it Summer!

Whilst taking the photo's this little one landed on my hand, I suppose it would be rude not to include him.

Thanks for taking the time to look.
